In Short

This site uses a small number of cookies and similar browser storage. One keeps the site secure. The rest help us see how the site is used, so we can make it easier to find what you need: Microsoft Clarity, and our own page statistics. The Google map and our Google reviews load from Google and Trustindex. We do not run Google Analytics, Google Ads or Meta (Facebook) tracking.

What Is Stored

Microsoft Clarity

What it is for: Clarity shows us how pages are used, such as where people click and how far they scroll, so we can see which parts of a page help and which get in the way. Set on this site: the cookies _clck (kept for one year) and _clsk (one day), and _cltk in session storage, which clears when you close the tab. Set by Microsoft on its own domains when Clarity loads: CLID, MUID, SM, MR and ANONCHK on clarity.ms, and MUID, MR and SRM_B on bing.com, kept for between the length of your visit and about 13 months. Microsoft handles these under its privacy statement.

Our Page Statistics

What it is for: counting which pages are visited, how far down them people read, and when a call, email or quote-form button is used, so we know what is useful. What it stores: one item, lmb_s, in session storage, holding the time your visit started, the page it started on and how many pages you have viewed. It clears when you close the tab. It sets no cookie.

Cloudflare

What it is for: Cloudflare hosts this site and protects it from attacks and spam. What it stores: the cookie cf_clearance, kept for up to a year, which records that your browser has passed Cloudflare's security check so you are not asked again. Cloudflare also counts page views for us without storing anything in your browser. Cloudflare handles this under its privacy policy.

The Google Map And Our Reviews

The map on our pages is embedded from Google Maps, and our Google reviews are shown through Trustindex. They load from Google's and Trustindex's own servers and may set their own cookies under their own policies: Google and Trustindex.

Your Choices

• Block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge each have a privacy or cookies section where you can clear cookies or block them for this site, clarity.ms and bing.com.
• Session storage (our page statistics and Clarity's _cltk) clears on its own when you close the tab.
• Blocking Cloudflare's cookie will not stop the site working, but you may be asked to pass the security check more often.
